Miiu Intel officials sound the alarm on Russian meddling in 2018 midterms
Hillary Clintonrsquo former 2016 campaign manager Robby Mook said Monday that Russian interference in the election might have caused their teamrsquo loss last November. In a stanley cup n interview on CBS This Morning, Mook warned that a foreign governmentrsquo interference in the election hurt Democrats last year and it could happen to Republicans next time.I donrsquo;t think this is a partisan issue, I really donrsquo;t, he said. The idea that a foreign country has been able to get mdash; to stanley romania burrow into our political system and favor one candidate over another should be disturbing to everybody. When asked if he believes Russian interference caused Clintonrsquo loss, Mook responded, I think it could have. He pointed out he did not bring that up in the interview an stanley cup d was not trying to deflect responsibility for the Democratsrsquo; loss. Novak outed Plame in his nationally syndicated newspaper column in July 2003. Plame s husband, former ambassador Joseph Wilson, has claimed that the Bush administration manipulated intelligence in order to justify the invasion of Iraq, and that the outing of his wife was payback from an angry White House. It was widely believed that Libby was Novak s source, but the case took a dramatic turn last August when it was learned that the conservative columnist s primary source was then-De stanley cups uk puty Secretary of State Richard Armitage. I screwed up, Armitage told CBS News David Martin. But the indictment that forced Libby to resign as Cheney s right-hand man remained in place because he is charged with impeding Fitzgerald s investigation, rather than leaking Plame s name to reporters. Nevertheless, the Armitage disclosure further strengthened the belief among Libby s many influ stanley cup ential friends and supporters that he is an
