Orsc Chicago dad completes 2012 resolution: An act of kindness every day
With tax season reaching its peak, the IRS is looking for every cent it s owed hellip; literally. A Sacramento car wash owner found that out when two representatives from the Internal Revenue Service showed up to collect four cents - four cents - in unpaid taxes. <They> came into the car wash, handed my manager a bill, and it was from the IRS, stanley us Aaron Zeff, the owner of Harv s Metro Car Wash, told CBS station KOVR. The amount was four cents, four pennies. In truth, after three years of penalties and fees, the four cents actually ballooned to more than $200, but the bill still prompted some laughter. This is more like a parking ticket, Zeff said. Still, the c stanley cup ar wash feels it doesn t owe anything. Attorney Ashley West said the IRS sent the business a letter in October indicating it had filed all required taxes and owed no money. It was a surprise to us that they came on site and surprise to us we didn t receive and correspondence related to it, West told KOVR.While the situation awaits resolution, Zeff continues to have fun with his tax bill. The car wash is planning a special promotion for customers who pay their taxes on time - four-cent car washes. ponent--type-recirculation .item:nth-child 5 display: none; inline-recirc-item--id-95037 stanley cup c38-8c88-11e2-b06b-024c619f5c3d, right-rail-recirc-item--id-95037c38-8c88-11e2-b06b-024c619f5c3d Fwfo Priest Charged In Player s Death
You could call Linda Radtke the queen of Christmas. We love Christmas. It s our favorite time of year, said Radtke. Her house has five very unique trees. This is the chili pepper/Day of the Dead tree. The star up on top is actually chili peppers and garlic, she said while describing one of the trees. And all her decor, is actually samba og scaled down . As we get older, it s harder for us, for my husband mostly, to climb up in the trees and put the lights on the roof like we used to, Radtke said.Someone damaged their holiday inflatables a few years ago. This year they put out a couple of those popular motion laser light displays. But exactly one week before Christmas, a scrooge came by and ripped it from the ground. Just a rude obnoxious thing to do, said Radtke. She w adidas campus 00s ent on Facebook to vent. You must be really desperate to ruin someone else s holiday, she wrote.. But then my hus crocs winterstiefel band said, look Linda, they re not going to see it on there. Whoever took this is not a friend, said Radtke. So this weekend, she slapped these big signs on the lamp post in front of her home. I hope the lights guide Santa to your house and his reindeer stomp on your head and his sleigh runs over your Grinchy self! the sign reads. She s hoping the thieves, and any other would-be Grinches, will see it. Just realize that the little bit of money or maybe little bit of pleasure they get from it, they took a lot more from us. They took maybe a little piece of mind. I m not one to sit back and be quiet.
