Las Vegas police just announced the arrest of a 21-year-old suspect in connection with a <a href=https://www.stanleycup.cz>stanley termoska</a> fatal shooting last October. Deaundra Talton was already in custody at the Clark County Detention Center on unrelated charges, the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department stated in a news release. On Monday, May 27, he was re-booked for open murder with a deadly weapon. In an initial statement about the shooting, police said the victim was shot during a drug transact <a href=https://www.stanley-cups.us>stanley cup</a> ion at 27 N. 28th Street, near East Charleston Boulevard. In a posting on LVMPD s website, the victim is identified as Kaito Thornton. Police said he was found in his car suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. At the time, police said Thornton had met with two individuals who both ran from the area before officers arrived. As of this report, Talton appears to be the first and only suspect arrested in this case. A California police officer was fired following an investigation into disgusting text messages that demonstrated racial bias, San Jose Chief of Police Anthony Mata saidin a statement.Former officer Mark McNamara had been with the San Jose Police Department for six years and was involved in an officer-involved shooting in Marc <a href=https://www.cup-stanley.ca>stanley canada</a> h 2022.One of the text messages McNamara sent said I hate Black people, according to a police report. He also used variations of the N-word multiple times, and other derogatory terms. McNamara is White.The text messages were discovered following an unrelated criminal investigation into the officer. Mata said the messages were found because of systems put in place a year ago. There is zero tolerance for even a single expression of racial bias at the San Jose Police Department. The messages were found due to the expansion of our Internal Affairs Unit s efforts to thoroughly investigate all questionable conduct and is why we have made investments in鈥痑 new鈥痚arly warning system, Mata said in a press release.
